How to Use EngagementHQ

General Plan Update: The Time to Speak Up is Now!

Tell the GPAC what you think by submitting your thoughts, ideas, questions and comments on the General Plan public engagement website https://engagelafayette.org/    Here is a sampling of what you can do on the site now:

  • Learn it! If you are just joining the conversation and need to get a handle on what the Housing Element is, start by watching the Housing Element 101 video

  • Map it! Share what you love about Lafayette using our mapping tool.  Use the plus symbol in the upper left hand corner to drag and drop a pin to a spot on the map you want to tell us about!

  • Test it! Test your knowledge about housing by taking a quiz!

  • Ask it! Ask a question

  • Say it! Post your thoughts, suggestions and photos on the ideas wall or the forum! You can see what others have written and reply, “like” or make a new comment.

  • Plan it! Use the density allocation tool to decide where housing units should be focused and the opportunity sites map to tell us specifically which parcels might best accommodate new dwelling units.  Use the worksheet to see some of the criteria needed for an opportunity site and place a pin on the map.  Staff will review public suggestions submitted by June 8th and will analyze and present them to GPAC on June 15th.

  • Dream it! Take the Mission Statement Survey to help determine the priorities for Lafayette’s future vision.

Forward these links and encourage your networks to participate in the future of Lafayette! Community doesn’t happen without you!
