Upcoming Events for the Safety Element

Join City of Lafayette staff, the General Plan Advisory Committee, and other community members for a discussion about natural and man-made hazards, such as wildfire and landslides, and how we can ensure a safe and prepared city for all.

We invite you to learn more about the City’s Safety Element, get engaged, and support our efforts to increase Lafayette’s ability to prevent and recover from harm to its residents and damage to the City. The Safety Element is a mandatory component of the City’s General Plan which identifies natural and man-made hazards and disasters that may occur and how the City can mitigate harm and damage to the community.

Join us for virtual workshops to learn more about the process, share your experiences with hazards and disasters, provide feedback on the draft Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment and Safety Element, and discuss ways to make our community safer.
