City Mission Statement Survey
A good plan is like a road map: it shows the destination and the various routes to get there. After 50+ years, Lafayette is updating its mission statement and you get to speak up about which direction the City should head. Help us plan the route and the destination by taking the mission statement survey.
California law requires that all incorporated cities have a General Plan, which governs decisions on topics like housing, zoning, land use, traffic, and others. By law, cities must periodically review their General Plans, and currently Lafayette is engaged in that process. The General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) is a group of community volunteers in Lafayette either appointed or selected by lottery to advise the Lafayette City Council regarding the General Plan. As part of the General Plan Update, the City Council has asked the GPAC to review and update the mission statement of the City of Lafayette so it reflects the current mission, vision, and values of our city.
The GPAC is requesting your input on what are the important values and other attributes you think should be incorporated into a new mission statement for the City of Lafayette.

Your input is critical for the process to be successful in reflecting the intentions of Lafayette residents!
Please take 15 minutes or so to say what you think are the most important guidelines for Lafayette’s future by completing this online survey on EngagementHQ. The survey will be available through July 15.
